Professional or organizational affiliation outside of C2C:
I am currently the Director of Community Engagement and Career Development at the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR). I partner with community and industry leaders to create high-impact, experiential learning opportunities for UMR students.
What have you learned from your time with C2C?
C2C’s data-driven partnership work is moving the Rochester community and region toward greater equity in education and career attainment. C2C pursues its vision and goals from an asset-based perspective, grounded in the belief that families, parents, communities, and institutions are well-intentioned partners who want to and can offer cradle-to-career strategies and interventions that work. As a member of the Leadership Table, I value and appreciate this approach.
What are your hopes for C2C’s work?
I am confident that C2C is on the cusp of changing systems and structures, contributing to educational policies at the county, regional, or state level that close access gaps and create clear paths to career success. This is my hope for C2C’s work – hope rooted in real, tangible, and ongoing impact.
